Foundations of Islamic Knowledge - Level 2

Embark on a journey to gain a structured and foundational understanding of Islam.

This course is entirely free and is designed for students who wish to build upon the foundations laid in Level 1. It focuses on two essential topics: Seerah (biography of the Prophet ﷺ) and Fiqh (Islamic jurisprudence), specifically the rulings related to Fasting and Zakah. The course aims to provide a structured and practical understanding of these core areas of Islamic knowledge.

Course Structure:

  • Curriculum: The course will cover Seerah and Fiqh topics related to Fasting and Zakah, with practical application and discussion.
  • Class Attendance: Classes will be held every Friday at 7:00 PM at Beaumont Leys Masjid.
  • Homework: Regular homework assignments will be given to reinforce the material covered in class.
  • Assessments: Periodic quizzes and a final exam will be conducted to assess students' understanding and progress.

Course Duration:

  • Start Date: Friday, 12th September 2025.
  • End Date: Friday, 26th June 2026.
  • Breaks: Aligned with the UK public school holidays.

  • Interest in Learning: This course is open to all individuals who are eager to learn about Islam, regardless of their prior knowledge.
  • English Proficiency: The course will be conducted in English, so a basic understanding of the language is necessary.
  • Commitment: Regular attendance and completion of assignments are required to ensure steady progress.
  • Motivation: A strong commitment is essential. Remember, great achievements are not attained through mere wishing but through determination and effort.
  • Brothers aged 12 and above only.
